World Environment Day (WED) is an annual event that is aimed at being the biggest and most widely celebrated global day for positive environmental action. World Environment Day is hosted every year by a different city with a different theme and is commemorated with an international exposition on 5th June. This year, the theme is ‘Forests – Nature at your Service’ and will be hosted by New Delhi, India.

Through WED, the UN Environment Programme is able to address environmental issues and enable everyone to realize their responsibility towards a greener environment. WED is also a day for people from all walks of life to come together and contribute in serving a healthier environment.

The objective for WED is to make every initiative count. Whether you organize a neighbourhood clean-up, abandon use of plastic bags, plant a tree or walk to work, every move counts. So it’s time you to make your move this World Environment Day and make your contribution count.

It’s also a bonus opportunity for the people involved with the promotional industry. Various eco-friendly products can be used to promote the day as well as your brand. You get to choose from a list of options:
• Distribute organic bags with your logo
• Send promotional plant pots to clients
• Organize a clean-up around your work place
• Organize fun outdoor activities for your company

You can also promote this day by using natural colors depicting nature, the earth and its natural resources. All you need to do is go organic for the day!!
